Low-5
Learning Labs

Experiential learning sessions exploring low-dose 5-MeO-DMT as a future clinical and contemplative tool. Small groups, structured protocols, peer-led.

Overview

What is Low-5

Low-5 refers to low-dose 5-MeO-DMT — typically 2mg or less, vaporized from a vape pen. Felt duration: 5–15 minutes per inhalation. For most, it is not hallucinogenic, though some experience muted visuals with eyes closed. Produces calm, presence, openness. Used in psycholytic therapy and enhanced mindfulness.

Dose titration is self-directed and precise. Participants remain communicative, grounded, and in control. In Canada, 5-MeO-DMT is unscheduled under the CDSA — not illegal to possess or self-administer.

From The Pattern Project

Research Highlights

Short-acting & manageable

A brief, controlled state — insights, tranquility, and in some cases deep emotional release — within a window that keeps participants oriented and communicative.

Verbal & grounded

People stay present — with access to unprocessed emotional and somatic material, without the flooding or ego dissolution typical of higher doses.

75% & 81%

Of 68 people who've tried Low-5, 75% reported meaningful shifts in thoughts or outlook, and 81% said they would do it again.

About

The Pattern Project

The Pattern Project was the first organization to publicly focus on the therapeutic and wellness value of low-dose 5-MeO-DMT in a structured, peer-reviewed setting. Based in Toronto, we operate as a volunteer research initiative — no investors, no growth pressure.

Surplus from Learning Labs funds ongoing research and community infrastructure. Our role is purely educational: we do not supply or administer 5-MeO-DMT. We study it, teach about it, and build community around responsible field stewardship.
